Boveda is a unique way of maintaining constant humidity in a closed storage container.
Inside the bag is a special salt (mixture of potassium citrate and acetate) that can keep the humidity at 58%.
If the humidity in the environment is higher, it absorbs water.
If the humidity drops below 58%, the mixture starts to release water again.
The coating is a unique material that works similarly to a reverse osmosis membrane.
It can absorb and release water molecules while salt stays inside and impurities outside.
Thanks to this, Boveda products are able to perfectly maintain and regulate the constant humidity in both directions in a closed container.
Suitability of packaging for the amount of harvest:
1g Boveda for a maximum of 4g harvest in a closed container for 3 to 4 months
4g Boveda for a maximum of 15g harvest in a closed container for 3 to 4 months
8g Boveda for a maximum of 30g harvest in a closed container for 3 to 4 months
67g Boveda for a maximum of 500g harvest in a closed container for 3 to 4 months
320 g Boveda for a maximum of 2.3 kg of harvest in a closed container for 3 to 4 months
Advantages of two-way humidity control with Boveda
Using Boveda products is easy.
Just put the bag itself in the container and close it.
When the sachet is depleted, the gel content hardens.
Just replace it with a new one!
The durability of Boveda bags depends on several factors.
Shelf life is shortened especially when stored with poorly dried or overdried herbs.
The service life is also reduced by excessive opening of the container, which disturbs the optimal microclimate.
