As shown in image 1, we must insert the metal punch in the center of the lid of the glass jar so that the deepest part of the piece is located inside the container (it is necessary to choose smooth lids without relief). Next (image 2) we will place the valve so that its concavity is in the lower part and so that the punch fits into the valve hole. Finally, we only need to apply the vacuum with the chosen pump, on the valve (image 3). When the witness of this is collected (image 4) the jar will be empty.
