The Bluelab pH PenPlus is a handheld digital meter for measuring the pH and temperature of nutrient solutions. Its key advantage over the standard pH Pen is a replaceable probe: when the probe wears out over time, you simply screw on a new Bluelab pH ProbePlus instead of replacing the whole pen. This means less downtime and a longer product life.

The double-junction pH probe delivers reliable readings, and a silicone cap filled with KCl storage solution and an internal sponge keeps the probe hydrated between uses. The pen is IP68 rated, so it is dustproof and waterproof, making it well suited to grow rooms and work around reservoirs. The bright backlit display is easy to read even in low light, and the hold function freezes the reading on screen. Calibration is a simple 2-point process, with a reminder every 30 days to keep readings accurate. Temperature can be shown in °C or °F, and the pen switches off automatically to save battery. An integrated lanyard with a waterproof silicone probe cap is included.

Measuring pH regularly, including runoff, helps you check that the root zone stays in the range where plants can take up nutrients, so you can spot drift early and adjust in time.
