Detailed information

Product detailed description

Vacuum freeze-drying consists of removing water or other solvents from previously frozen samples. Throughout the process, the material remains in a solid state at temperatures generally below –10?°C. The main goal is to preserve the product’s original characteristics after rehydration.

Since drying occurs at low temperatures, this method is ideal for heat-sensitive materials such as proteins, preventing denaturation and preserving other compounds. Most biological products—such as tissues, cell extracts, bacteria, vaccines, and serums—can be dried using this technique. It is also suitable for inorganic materials like nanoparticles, as their specific surface area remains practically unchanged.

Applications

  • The TF-HFD-4 vacuum freeze dryer is widely used in high-performance laboratory environments. It allows drying of both liquid and solid samples in flasks or vials.

Key features:

  • Temperature control on the pre-freezing tray
  • Adjustable drying temperature according to sample needs
  • Drying at the freezing limit and capillary-bound water removal through high vacuum
  • Suitable for treating bacteria, viruses, plasma, serum extracts, antibodies, vaccines, and pharmaceuticals (such as chloramphenicol, streptomycin, vitamins, enzymes, and plant extracts used in biological analysis)
