NextGen Growplugs consist of white peat and washed, buffered coconut fiber. They are lightly fertilized, making them an ideal base for young plants. The blend of coconut and peat provides the perfect balance of air and water, creating a stable, moist environment that promotes greater root quantity and length, as well as increased root hair development.

NextGen Growplugs are supplied dry, making them lightweight and resistant to mold. Their pre-formed hole allows for easy insertion of seeds or cuttings. Drainage holes in the tray prevent overwatering, ensuring stronger and healthier plants.

Once visible roots appear, the plug should be transplanted into a growing substrate. NextGen Growplugs are designed to remain intact during transplanting, making handling easier and ensuring the plant’s roots remain undamaged.

The pre-formed hole and flexible structure of the coconut-peat mixture make it easy to insert even fragile, freshly cut cuttings. No force is required, so the cuttings remain unharmed.

Thanks to the combination of peat and coconut properties, NextGen Growplugs create an optimal balance of air and water. Peat provides compactness, which helps retain water efficiently, while coconut keeps the mixture airy, giving roots room to grow. Together, they enable rapid and vigorous root development.

Coconut and peat are bound with an adhesive that keeps the plug intact even after removal from the tray. This allows safe and regular inspection of root development. The adhesive also ensures the plug remains intact during transplanting, so roots stay undamaged.

Soak the plug in water or pour water over it and allow it to drain. If necessary, enlarge the pre-formed hole. Insert cuttings or seeds into the hole in the center of the plug. Place the tray in a humid environment to prevent excessive water loss. After visible rooting, transplant the plug into a growing substrate.
