Product detailed description
Grodan Cress Plate is a mineral wool growing medium for growing microgreens - basil, arugula, chives, mizuna, micro coriander, chia, mustard, fennel, amaranth, radish, broccoli and watercress.
Use the special Microgreens Tray from Garland for growing.
Main advantages of Grodan Cress Plate Microgreens
- The thinnest Grodan product
- The inert growing medium does not affect the EC of the nutrient solution
- An above-standard stable substrate increases the pH only slightly
- Consistent structure leads to quick and easy germination of microgreens
- The uniform density of the material allows an even distribution of water throughout the product
How is it used?
- Place the Grodan Cress Plate in a sufficiently large mini-greenhouse or tray.
- Fill the Rockwool plate with nutrient solution with EC 1.5 and pH 5.5.
- Allow the material to absorb the solution and after 1 minute pour off the excess watering.
- Sprinkle the seeds evenly on the surface of the Grodan Cress Plate, this is the only way they will develop in the same way.
- Water regularly every time the mat loses about 50% of its "wet weight".
- Always drain excess water after watering, Grodan Cress Plate must not stand in water.
- Watch the video.
