The Solux Electronic Ballast is a microprocessor-controlled ballast that maintains the lamp's lumen output for longer than traditional ballasts. It features a low start-up current of only 3 A per unit and IP43 protection. This lightweight and quiet ballast is suitable for wall mounting. It includes thermal and circuit protection and intelligent digital "soft-start" technology. When used with Solux lamps, it delivers 65,000 lumens (400W) and 105,000 lumens (600W). A lamp connection cable with an molded IEC plug is included.

Why choose electronic ballasts instead of traditional electromagnetic ballasts?
- Fast start-up. It reaches its maximum power in less than a minute, whereas electromagnetic ballasts can take up to 20 minutes to reach full performance.
- Completely silent. You have to be very close to the ballast to hear a very faint sound.
- Compact and small design. A 600 ballast weighs less than 4 kilos compared to the 8 kilos of the electromagnetic ballast.
- It produces less heat.
- Safety circuit. To protect the ballast and lamp from any damage.
- It extends the life of the lamp. The lamp's lumen loss over time is drastically lower than that of a conventional ballast.
- Fully compatible. You can connect high-pressure sodium (HPS) and metal halide (MH) lamps designed to operate on sodium ballasts (Sunmaster).
