In aeroponic rooting or cultivation, no type of substrate is required, the roots are suspended in air in an opaque space and irrigated by an air pump.
This method is most effective for the roots, as they receive a lot of nutrients and oxygen.
This system can be easily converted from aeroponics to hydroponics, just replace the neoprene rings with cups.
